Anna Monaco is the Founder and Executive Director of The Catalyst Project, a student-led organization that creates accessible service, leadership, and public health opportunities for young people. Under her leadership, The Catalyst Project has managed more than 1,000 student volunteers, collected over 10,000 donations for hospitals and communities across eight countries, developed more than 40 chapters, and published public health articles written by students. Anna also coordinates the organization’s executive board, partnerships, workshops, volunteer initiatives, and interviews with government and medical leaders.

Beyond The Catalyst Project, Anna serves as the Associate Director of Curriculum for the Youth Neuropsychology Society, where she has supported chapters around the world, overseen more than 50 student research projects, and helped develop an eight-module neuropsychology curriculum. She is also the President of her school’s National English Honor Society, the Vice President of Testing for DECA, and the 12th Grade Representative for her Key Club. Through these positions, she has led meetings for more than 80 students, mentored competitors, and organized over 20 service initiatives.

Anna’s leadership also extends into science, research, education, and digital media. She has served as a varsity Science Olympiad member and event leader, conducted nutrition research at UNC using Python to analyze gut microbiome data, and completed Latin language research with Dickinson College Commentaries. Across each of her roles, Anna focuses on building programs, managing teams, and creating opportunities for other students to learn, lead, and serve their communities.
