Our purpose is to inspire you to action, and to give you the tools and the support that will enable us to succeed in changing the world! The same thing believed, is not the truth." Please, do not simply just believe what you read here. Rather, experience Link Our World.

WHY IS THERE Link Our World

There is Link Our World because Earth needs it, democracy needs it, and communities around the globe need it. It is a key response to the many challenges that face our communities, our countries, and our planet. 
As you know, time is of the essence!

WHAT IS Link Our World?

Link Our World is the result of a group examining and answering the following question. What can we do about the fact that in social, political, environmental and economic areas, here on planet Earth, things are spinning critically out of control?

During this process, we discovered that the cause of problems, at both the global and local level, are traced to that of resource misallocation. Where ever problems exist, resources are being controlled and manipulated by a powerful few, concerned not for the welfare of all of the community members, but, rather only for their own. Often, those controlling the future of a specific community are not even members of that community.

The group's challenge thus became to answer the following question. How do we make the most powerful change in the apparent course of the future in the shortest possible time? A Paradigm Shift! We found that a Paradigm shift is required. It is vital that we all realize that in this project of saving our planet and our communities, there is no "us vs. them". There is only Us!

We have vast already existing resources in our communities and on our planet. Now, these resources are being used in ways that divide and separate communities as "us" and "them". Imagine the change when already existing resources are made immediately available for creating a secure, sustainable and just future for all. We must free those resources. Imagine a global community, using our combined talents and resources to create a future in which everyone wins! Earth can be our home, where no one is required to suffer for the benefit of others.

A measuring device was created that allows us to judge any proposed action. Any action! Before taking any action, or making any policy decision, it is necessary to first ask this one, and only question. Does the proposed action require the suffering of others? If the answer is yes, stop, and rethink the process. If the answer is that the proposed action does not require others to suffer, then proceed. We must question who we humans are, as thinkers, planners, or systems designers, if we are not able to design a way of being that does not require suffering. Surely we can do better than that.

Without the required paradigm shift, good intentions + brilliance = only a different version of the same old thing. Clearly that won't work! It's time for us to create a new future. We'll create A Future in which Everyone Wins! We must realize that we can do it, we must choose to do it, and we must act. Link Our World is a methodology designed for us to achieve our goals.

Community Empowerment

The methodology that we are prescribing is designed specifically to empower citizens at the local community level, because at this level, even a few dedicated community members can change the future to one that works for all of the community members. And, we can make the essential global changes, a community at a time, all at once. Change at the community level is both realistic and powerful. We have access to a wealth of already existing resources. For example, community resources exist in the form of groups, clubs, churches and associations of people concerned about particular issues, each who have a unique body of knowledge to contribute. Also, at the community level, a unified voting bloc can demand that elected officials listen to and respond to the will of the people. It's time for something more than merely another version of the same old thing.

How is this change achieved? Through the REOCCURRING presentation of Community Empowerment Conference/Festivals. (Locally and globally)

Time constraints require that we work at two levels at the same time. We work as Catalysts at The Local Community Level , where we can make a difference we can see. And we work at The Global Level , where we share our methodology and our inspiration with people around the planet, who will, in turn, change the future in their own home communities.

WHAT IS A COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE/FESTIVAL?

These events will empower us all by providing a growing appreciation of Community (Us).
1. FESTIVAL - Unity through diversity - The joy of who we are as a diverse group, and how we are connected in our communities, will be realized through this sharing of the fine and performing arts.
2. CONFERENCE - Knowing how the problems we all face are created, who is responsible for their existence, and how the problems are perpetuated is crucial.
AND, - Solutions to the problems we face will be shared. They are known!

From this Conference/Festival will arise t he creation of a new, combined voting bloc. One that requires our public servants to redirect the use of our communities resources so that it serves the needs of us all, rather than that of the few in power, those that have mastered the art of "playing the game." Voting will be based on principles that transcend political parties and there will be a litmus test for candidates (a list of such principles exists).

Changing things in one community will change the future of the planet!
 
Like a wall is built one brick at a time. When others learn of your success, they will join the movement toward a future in which everyone wins. Soon Link Our World will be a global movement.

To change the way my community is run now, to a community designed to benefit all of it's members, takes only a short time!

By creating Link Our World and creating a series of Community Empowerment Conference/Festivals the time required to make the changes can be short. We suggest that you create two Community Empowerment Conference/Festivals each year. One after school starts, in the Fall, and another in the Spring, before school vacations. By following this recipe your community will be well on it's way to becoming a unified voting bloc within three years.

Who will do it? Us! The community members that are already involved with issues and those that would like to help if they only knew of a way that they could. The resources are already there, waiting to be coordinated!

What are we waiting for? You can help! While serious problems plague our communities and our world, fortunately solutions exist! Many wonderful and talented people have been working out the solutions we need, and Link Our World exists to help those solutions find their way into the actions that will manifest them in time.
