After the Event
What kind of follow up is needed to maximize the effect of a Conference/Festival and keep the spirit moving?
Encourage networking between groups that take part in Conference/Festivals. You will be pleasantly surprised at how much "un-alike" organizations will have in common when they have a connecting thread.
Begin as soon as possible to plan the next Conference/Festival. It will likely be larger.
Enlist as many groups as you can to participate in early planning, and stress that they can share the successes that came from previous Conference/Festivals.
Put together a mailing list and send new information and updates to participants.
Be sure to thank your staff for a job well done.
